Click to read about our staffThere’s many things that go into healthy aging and we all are familiar with them… exercising, keeping your mind active, drinking water and of course eating healthy.

Today we are focussing on eating healthy, more specifically what kinds of foods can you eat to improve your aging process?

When we eat foods loaded with antioxidants, healthy fats, water, and essential nutrients, our body responds well. In fact our number one organ, skin, can reap the biggest benefits!

Research has shown that eating fruits and veggies is a safe, effective and healthy way to minimize fine lines and improve your complextion.

Below is a list of foods that not only nourish your body but will give you a glow that comes from within.

Be Well,
Anisa

1. Watercress…

A nutrient-dense hydrating leafy green that is a great source of:

calcium, potassium, manganese, phosphorus, vitamins A, C, K, B-1, & B-2.

What many don’t know is that watercress acts as an internal skin antiseptic and increases the circulation and delivery of minerals to the cells of your body, resulting in enhanced oxygenation of the skin.

Packed with many antioxidents, it may neutralize harmful free radicals, helping to keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay.

2. Red Bell Peppers…

My favorite of the bell peppers, the Red ones are loaded with antioxidants

Plus their high content of vitamin C is good for collagen production.

Also in it are carotenoids which are plant pigments responsible for the bright red, yellow, and orange colors you see in many fruits and vegetables. Cartenoids are known to have many anti-inflammatory properties and may help protect skin from sun damage and other environmental toxins.

3. Papaya…

I am always amazed at how many people have never tasted this delicious superfood!

Yes this is a superfood that is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that may help to improve skin elasticity and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Let’s take a peek at what is in the glorious Papaya:

Vitamins A, C, K, and E, calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and B vitamins.

Not convinced you should add some Papaya to your diet? It also contains an enzyme called papain, which provides additional benefits by working as one of nature’s best anti-inflammatory agents. It’s also found in many exfoliating products.

Lastly, Papaya aids in digestion of foods making you feel less bloated.

4. Blueberries…

Blueberries are rich in vitamins A and C, as well as an age-defying antioxidant called anthocyanin.

The powerful antioxidants in blueberries may help protect skin sun damage.

5. Nuts…

Eating Nuts is always tricky. They are so good for you but so easy to overeat which can lead to weight gain.

But many nuts (especially almonds) are a great source of vitamin E, which may help repair skin tissue. It also helps to retain skin moisture.

Another great nut to add to your snacking are Walnuts. They even contain anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids that may help:

Strengthen skin cell membranes

Protect against sun damage

Give skin a beautiful glow by preserving its natural oil barrier

I have to say it… I am nuts about nuts!

6. Avocado…

We’ve all heard it. Avacados are a “good” source of fat. It is true! They are high in inflammation-fighting fatty acids that promote smooth, supple skin.

They also contain a variety of essential nutrients including:

vitamins K, C, E, and A, B vitamins, potassium,

Let’s talk about the high content of vitamin A in them. It can help us shed dead skin cells, leaving us with gorgeous, glowing skin.

7. Sweet Potatoes…

Loaded with an an antioxidant called beta-carotene (that’s in carrots too and how they both get their orange color).

Beta-caroten converts into the wonderful vitamin A, which for years has been said to help restore skin elasticity, promote skin cell turnover, and ultimately contribute to soft, youthful-looking skin.

This delicious and sweet tater is also a great source of vitamins C and E.

I love the NR 8 treatment and bought 4 bottles! Such a great price and I can already tell a great difference in my skin. I have to take plavic because of a stint I had to get. 😞 and I have bruised forearms. They look yucky. I have been putting NR8 on them and they are looking much better. I’m so excited. I’m 76 years old and live in a very dry, hot place in Texas. I am going to go buy me four more bottles and give my sister one and my niece one. I can’t wait for them to try it. It goes on very smoothly and stays a little oily feeling for a few minutes because there is no water in it. In just a very few minutes it is soaked into my skin and doing its thing. I just love it. I hope anyone watching this blog will try it. I will call at my Fantabulous moisturizer and I hope I don’t run out before the price goes up. I just love you Anisa. I trust you!!! I shop at Pulse all the time and I am completely satisfied with everything you do. Stay safe and wear your mask out in public. I know you do. 😘 Patsy
