Life is full of its ups and downs. One day, we feel like we have it all figured out. Then, in a moment’s notice, a curve ball has been thrown our way. 2020 seems to exemplify this!

Everyone has challenges and learning how to overcome challenges helps us to remain calm under pressure.

We all have our own way of facing challenges in life. However, there are a few good tips and tricks to follow when the going gets tough.

I’m going to share five my favorite.

1. Make A Plan…

While we can’t know what is going to happen in the future, we can always plan ahead. Looking at the patterns in our life to see what challenges we’ve struggled with can allow us to assess the optimal outcomes and make a plan for how you can achieve them.

2. Ask For and Accept Help…

We are not alone! Help is all around us and there’s we should never feel ashamed for asking for help. It could be a loved one, a stranger, a mentor, or a friend, in general people want to help!

Asking for help is only one side of the coin. We have to be open and willing to accept support.

3. Positive Mindset…

Too many times What we think becomes our reality. We can train our minds to think positively. This takes both time and practice and begins with mental awareness. Practice awareness through mindfulness techniques and meditation. The more we can acknowledge the good thoughts, the more we can stop negative thoughts in their tracks.

4. Help Others…

The old adage goes, “What you give is what you get.” This is so true!

Helping others not only benefits them, but it can also helps us feel happier. Not to mention it is good for our soul.

5. Don’t Give Up…

This may be obvious but too many times when a challenge arises, we can feel overwhelmed and just throw our hands up say “forget it”! Remember the above tips and keep at it.

Persistence is a huge key to overcome challenges. Giving up means we will neither overcome the challenge nor learn from it.

Remember… power through challenges by asking for support, feeling your feelings, and making a plan to work through it.

In Closing…

Learning how to deal with challenges takes time, persistence, and a positive attitude. No matter the life situation, the hard times will happen. But, with the right mindset and practice, we will overcome them every time!
